Dun Laoghaire Regatta is here!

The DLR has rolled into town already. Tents have appeared on yacht club forecourts, and social calendars are the talk of households all over Dublin. The racing starts on Thursday 11th and continues through Sunday. A huge range of boats will take part, from IRC Class Zero behemoths to flighty International Moths.

The caliber of boats is such that we're confident someone will have a go at a quick time on the Island Trial. The weather forecast doesn't look great at the moment but it's possible that a nice NE seabreeze will kick in and set up a fast time before or after the DLR racing.

There's strong betting that a big IRC boat would put in a very fast time.

Meantime, if you're going to go don't forget to practice making a GPX file. Don't be the guy who would have won the Bragging Rights Cup but who had no proof. And don't forget that safety is YOUR responsibility. As always, if in doubt, stay safe!
